I loved how close the hotel was to Praia Formosa, just a short 5-minute walk away, and the beautiful Jardim Publico da Ajuda was only 700 meters down the road, making both spots perfect for relaxing strolls and enjoying stunning views. The staff was friendly, and the convenient shuttles to the city center made my weekend exploration easy and enjoyable.

Had a great time with my friends! We loved the proximity to the beach and the vibrant Flower Festival nearby. The views from our room were stunning, and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere around the hotel. Just a quick walk to the city center made exploring easy!

One downside was the food. it was pretty average, and the choices were limited. We ended up skipping some meals at the hotel and seeking out local restaurants, which were much better.

Consider utilizing the private elevator to the beach early in the morning for a peaceful sunbathing experience before it gets crowded.

The hotel provided stunning ocean views and easy access to the beach with a private lift, enhancing our stay in an unexpected way.

However, persistent plumbing issues delayed our room change for over three hours, and it took eight hours to receive requested bathrobes.

The vegan options at the buffet were decent and I loved the clean pool area! The cocktails were also enjoyable despite some being a bit sweet. The rooms, though, were in need of a refresh, especially the carpets.

Staying at Pestana in Funchal was enjoyable, with fine sea views and friendly staff enhancing our experience. The comfort of our Beautiful Double Room and easy beach access made our vacation good. The dining options could use improvement to match the hotel's overall charm.

The overall vibe was amazing! Pools for adults only and a cool outdoor jacuzzi added to our chill time. The private elevator to the beach was a treat. Can't forget the lovely garden area around the snack pool bar where we soaked up the sun!

The gym is disappointing with limited equipment!!! The variety and quality of food leave much to be desired across all meals!!!

Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. After a distressing robbery, staff showed minimal support and often responded rudely to requests for assistance. The room was dirty, with leaking fixtures and insufficient cleaning. Dining options were limited and of poor quality. A frustrating visit overall.

It was just a smart choice for strolling around in Funchal with a great value-to-price ratio. The staff at the reception could improve their attitude, but I did enjoy the traditional Madeiran music one evening. Bring snacks for the room. the mini-bar is not well stocked.
